Hi, I am Annette
There was a moment in my twenties - when I lost my identity as I woke after tongue cancer surgery with only half my tongue. I lost my voice, my TV career and any belief that I could even survive. I had a young baby and couldn't even talk to her - it was heartbreaking.
The harsh treatment journey took me through many dark chapters - facing a world with no ability to communicate or express myself. I felt unseen, unheard and trapped in a MUTE body that excluded me from everything normal.
It was during my recovery that I experienced a spiritual awakening as a beautiful unconditional light energy appeared in front of me and every cell in my body felt like it was being painted with LOVE.
I started to paint with this energy and soon saw the transformations the art bought to myself and others. Within months these artworks spoke to so many and were exhibited shared and sold within healing centres, retreats and notorious galleries like the Louvre.
For almost two decades I have been answering my calling to bring light, love and hope to those in their darkest chapters of their lives.
My art is just one of the ways I do so. A visual frequency that offers transformation.
More than anything, I want everything I create to help you slow down, take a deep breath, and remember that there is always light beyond the hardest chapters in life.
I believe that when you slow down enough to listen to your soul, you begin to remember that you were never lost - you were simply finding your way back to yourself.
